I am a stay at home mom and lifelong Louisiana resident. While I have lived in Baton Rouge for 16 years now, I am originally from Sulphur. I went to high school at the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts in Natchitoches and college at Louisiana Tech. I really value having been able to spend time in so much of the state. I believe Louisiana can be a more progressive state and that we need to push to help that happen.
I am running because I believe the Louisiana Democratic Party needs new leadership that will be more active and support progressive candidates.
I have lived in Louisiana my whole life and feel deeply connected to the state. It has been disheartening watching so many of my peers leave the state because of regressive politics. We need a state democratic party that pushes back against attacks on women and LGBT+ people.
Democratic voters deserve more from party leadership.
