My name is Jordan Gonzales and I'm running for DSCC seat 71b. I first moved to Louisiana when I was 3 to Fort Polk when my father got stationed there.
Due to family circumstances, I would eventually find myself in Denham Springs where I spent my formative years. I attended Walker High where I spent a lot time working, playing soccer and hanging out in the Walmart or Bass Pro parking lots, before moving to Lafayette to attend college—3 days after the 2016 flood. I graduated from UL with a Bachelor's in Economics, spending years studying economics, political science, philosophy, and management.
In the year following my graduation I become a father for the first time welcoming into the world my beautiful daughter, Brynlee. I've since been spending my time trying to survive in our lack luster economy, learning to be a father, and getting involved when I could. But now, I'm ready to do my part to progress, not just Livingston, but all of Louisiana into a place we can all thrive.
