Dr. LaTienda “LT” Pierre is a servant leader who has served in various law enforcement, non-profit, and higher education-based positions. As a lifelong resident of Caddo Parish, Dr. LT is committed to serving as an advocate for the needs of citizens residing in Caddo Parish. Dr. Pierre earned her Doctor of Education in Leadership Studies and Master of Arts in Liberal Arts in Criminal Justice/History from Louisiana State University Shreveport. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications/Public Relations and Marketing from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Dr. Pierre served in the capacity of a first responder, beginning her career as deputy with the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office and a district attorney investigator in the Special Victims Unit for the Caddo District Attorney’s Office. Over the span of her 16-year career, Dr. Pierre was assigned to various divisions such as Jail Records, Corrections, Booking, Internal Affairs, Youth Services, Special Victims Unit/DAI, Internet Crimes investigations, Reentry, Community Programs, and Patrol. In 2014, Dr. Pierre expanded into the higher education sector serving as an adjunct faculty member for Remington College, Bossier Parish Community College, and Southern University Shreveport in their criminal justice/behavior science departments and LSUS Department of Education. Dr. Pierre has served in leadership roles, as the former president of the Louisiana D.A.R.E. Officer’s Association, former executive board member of the YWCA of NWLA, and President of the Caddo-Bossier Domestic Violence Task Force (currently). For her efforts, Dr. Pierre was recognized as a 40 Under Forty recipient for 2021. Dr. Pierre is no stranger to advocating, defending, and protecting those who are in need and continues to strive each day to make a difference in the various communities of Caddo Parish.
